There are even speciality foods- theirs from the farm and other local jams, mustards, maple products and meats! I studied the cookbook and after chatting at length about the lean, alpaca sausage I left with a couple of packages- AND an adorable alpaca finger puppet. I will report that the sausage was shared on a special occasion a few days later to great reviews, AND the tiny finger puppet was the total hit I was hoping for from the new grammy with a Peruvian daughter-in-law.!

Crescendo Acres was a delightful surprise! The shop is tucked up a short dirt road, so I didn't go during mud-season- but as it turns out I don't think it would have been a problem. The proprietor greeted me in the driveway and gave me a tour. That warm, cozy smell of winter scarves and mittens greets you as soon as you enter. It is a tactile experience as one moves around to the most inviting displays of alpaca items- gorgeous sweaters, beautiful socks, fur-lined mittens and more!
